is by far one of my most favorite things to do. When I sit and ponder all the memories that have been made during my years here on this earth, it seems as if most of my memories are actually when I was on a vacation of some sorts. This Gatherings class was one of the most unique classes offered so far. Did you know that Travel Sketch Journaling is proven to enhance your memory? By sketching and painting while visiting different places, you remember where you were, who you were with, the temperature outside, and even the smells in the air. We learned about the benefits of Travel Sketch Journaling by our classy and fabulous teacher, Beth Dean (right). Thank you, Beth, for teaching us how to slow down and soak life up while sketching it out.

VILLAGE BOUTIQUE

I so enjoy being able to show off the pretty blouses that are offered by Village Boutique at all these Gatherings events. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one. I have been so ready to see the sky behind the clouds from this past rainy season. And what better way to usher in Spring than with this sky blue top. COLONY WINE MARKET

Scott Jackson of Colony Wine Market has been one of our biggest cheerleader's. Always willing to supply a spectacular bubbly for the ladies to enjoy during each Gatherings. This "Forty Ounce Muscadet French Wine" came in a much different bottle than the norm, but totally got our attention. The nose shows honeydew, lemon and crushed seashells while the palette reveals green apple, pear, citrus and minerals with a crisp, lively finish. This wine is perfect with light flaky fishes, shellfish and soft cheese. Ladies, make sure you tell Scott to give you the Gatherings Discount when you stop by to see him at Colony Wine Market located at 121 Colony Crossing Way, Madison.

BASIL'S - FONDREN

Big news for all of us Madison County Girls, Basil's Fondren will be opening another location in the Renaissance in Ridgeland this coming Wednesday (March 27th) and I might just have to be their very first customer! They treated us like movie stars for this Gatherings. We started off with their homemade Southern Chicken Salad and Basil's Southern Pimento Cheese. Then we moved onto the big pie of sandwiches. Either or both: Pesto Mayo Roma Tomato Mozzarella Olive Sandwich and/or Turkey Mozzarella Pesto Mayo Roma Tomato Sandwich. And then ended with a mouth watering chocolate chip cookie. What a great way to give us girls a taste test of what is yet to come! We loved you, Basil's, and cannot wait for you to open soon right next to Smoothy King in the Renaissance.
